Argument - Tyrol style!
Three generations under one roof. Every now and then worlds collide. Now, there is undoubtedly a certain stubbornness in the Tyrol disposition; not to mention the temperament which is full of fighting spirit ... indeed every argument does eventually come to an end (whoever's energy runs out first). And then we all pull together – as is right for a family.
The future is built on the past
1956:
After several professional posts right across Austria's gastronomic landscape Maria (chef) and Josef (master butcher) Perauer 'landed' in Mayrhofen
1956-1957:
The two carried on their professions first of all in seasonal positions
1957-1973:
Investment in their own butchery, first of all a lease at the Lackner (in the Hotel Alte Post)
1971-1973:
The time had come: the 1st section of the Perauer was built
1973:
Opening of the butchery incl. SB-Restaurant on the ground floor – a private apartment on the first floor
1976:
Rooms extended to the the 2nd and 3rd floors
1986:
Son Franz Perauer and his wife Barbara took over the business and turned the cellar into a restaurant
1988:
Restaurant and butcher's shop refurbished
1992:
Extension of the west wing with a bay window and 6 rooms, new balconies, new façade – and a new kitchen
1996:
Closure of the butcher's shop. In its place integration of the 'Metzgerstube' and a sauna
2004:
Extension of the attic floor 4 rooms, incorporating a lift
2008:
Renovation of the bathrooms on the 3rd floor
2010:
Complete renovation of the ground floor (restaurant and kitchen) as well as the cellar (wine cellar and 'Wellness-Alm', ski and ski-shoe room, toilets)
2011:
Refurbishment and renovation of rooms from the 1st to the 3rd floors along with new bathrooms in the 1st and 2nd floors
